Stuck

It seems the job market in Colorado Springs, CO, has plummeted. There are no jobs. This means that if I go to CO, it will be a while before I can get a job and my own apt...

There four..

I have decided (well, I don't have many options) to stay a while longer at my mother's. Why?
I can get my little art shop going, and maybe I can use it to make a little money on the side.
My mother DESPERATELY needs help making her house presentable for prospective buyers.
My mother also really needs help with getting rid of all her crap.

Who knows? Maybe I can take a few basic college courses online while I'm doing all this.

If I can possibly get a job somewhere around my mom's place (unlikely, but worth looking into..) perhaps I can save up to pay for moving costs.

Sadly, I can't leave this horrible hell hole they call IOWA, but maybe I can just keep using the internet to escape and try to make some extra cash. :)

Before I can officially set up my Etsy shop, I need to open a bank account. I will be doing that within the next week, and then posting all about it. Be eagerly waiting for the new post.

In other news, I came "home" from my trip to ND to find that my cat had somehow managed to get inside the house.

And took a shit and a shockingly large piss on my bed.

Thank you, Sassy.
Photo is blurry but effective.

Nothing

Hey (to whoever reads this crappy blog :) )

I have been up to.... Nothing. That's why I've been writing bullshit blog posts the last few times I've blogged.

When I move to CO I might have more things to blog about. I don't really know why I even blog. I think it's simply because I have a few family members and close friends that read this to see what I'm up to these days. If that is the case, then the answer to the question of what I've been up to is a definite NOTHING.

Yes, it seems all I do is sit around in my mother's basement in my underwear drinking obscene amounts of Mountain Dew while watching the same shows and movies over and over again.

Not unlike the cat in the picture above...

Since my mom's been gone to Portland I've really made a mess of the house. Trash everywhere, dirty dishes all over the place... not pretty. I cleaned most of it today since she's coming back tomorrow... but it was still messy enough to give her a heart attack when she got back if not cleaned up.

Occupation Ideas

Since I know I won't be able to go to college and my dream job of being a film director is difficult.. I have been researching jobs that I would find enjoyable, challenging to my creative side, and has flexible hours.

I have come up with a few that I have always thought would be interesting and hopefully doable.

Process Server

Process servers get paid to deliver legal papers. It's really very simple. They pick up the papers from a client and deliver them to the recipient. The documents could be divorce papers, a personal injury lawsuit, or something similar.

Process servers are paid well for their services. You could expect to get paid anywhere from $30 to $250 or more for each document that you serve. The more papers you serve, the more you'll get paid.

A good process server can easily make $70,000 to $100,000 a year or more for delivering legal documents. That's a pretty decent income, wouldn't you agree?
Defiantly the least dangerous of my possible career choices. :) I've read quite a few articles on it, found a good book about it called The Practical Guide to Process Serving. You can get it for me on Amazon.. here's a link to my Wish List: http://www.amazon.com/gp/registry/wishlist/24EV6LQEAWW0E

This is an ideal job for me for many reasons. It fits what I've been looking for in a job. I've already looked requirement in CO for the occupation and I can do this.

I know I would enjoy this job and I would have to use all my creativity and "mad skills" to do it. Excited? I am.

Another great thing about this is that it's one of those jobs that if you work hard and you're good at your job, you won't be out of work. Just like a funeral home director. :)

The other two jobs are similar: Repossession Agent or (even more dangerous) Bounty Hunter.

Both of these are exciting, dangerous, and take skill, intelligence and serious creativity.

This is all I'll say now, but I have been doing quite a bit of research on all three of these, and I think they are exactly what I want in a future occupation. One of the best parts is... they all do not require a college education! So I can start now!

One small perk is that if I apply and pay for an official license (which is not required in CO, but would probably be a good idea..) I get a badge I can flash. :) (that sentence made me sound pretty incompetent about the entire occupation, but ohh well. Badges are cool.)

Awesome Songs

This is the Kramer Vanguard. This is the guitar I would like to own. It's just awesome sauce. Looking and Sounding.

I'm currently learning the following songs on the guitar.. as in the Riffs and the Solos.

Aqualung by Jethro Tull
Barracuda by Heart
Sweet Child of Mine by Gun 'n' Roses
Tribute by Tenacious D
Smoke on the Water by Deep Purple
Thunderstruck by AC/DC
Slow Ride by Foghat

A few classics, a few not.. I didn't really pick them, they picked me, and on most of them, I can play over half the song. :)

Exciting. For some. I also have learned that my brother has recently bought a guitar for himself. Good Luck. :)

Mystery Song

I have finally found the song! An epic song that I could not find the name of or the artist. I've been trying to find out that information the entire month.

The song is called Lunatic Fringe by Red Riders.. pretty cool song. :)

Once again I'm going to be left to this house in IA alone while my mom goes off to another state. I'm fine with it, but she just expects me to do a whole bunch of crap while she's gone! I can't do it all!

Ohh well, I'm just excited that I have a list of songs I'm making for an ultimate mix CD for myself of awesome rock music. In a blog post soon, I'm going to put down a list of a bunch of vinyl records I want to get for my collection. :) And also... list my collection.

I'm excited. Like this Croc.
